PANZER sounds like new orleans influenced riffs driven by punk beats driven into sabbathy sluggle-like breakdowns. Sounds like punkers playing metal. Bird Garcia and Jaclyn Vorel are formerly from Heyday, and Lucy Dekay is the bassist from Youth Dekay and The Alright Alreadys.
The Jetty Boys play punk rock in the vein of Elvis Costello, Devil Dogs, Boys, Descendents, Sweet Baby, Buzzcocks rolled into a sandwich slathered with guitars, bass, snare rolls, rock n' roll and pop hooks.
THE MONS (members of Mexican Cheerleader, The Mashers, Lynyrds Innards, and Apocalypse Hoboken)
You are probably wondering, "Who are these dudes and why are they bothering me?" If you know about Mexican Cheerleader, The Mashers, Lynyrd's Innards, Apocalypse Hoboken and countless other offshoots, chances are pretty good these are dudes you know. 5 dudes to be exact. 5 very good looking dudes.
VORTIS took their name from pre-World War I Vorticist movement spearheaded which had a goal: “to perpetuate violent structures of adolescent clarity” throughout life; that is, to live with the lust for life and joie de vivre of a teenager, which the band members thought was an ideal definition of rock ’n’ roll. VORTIS continues to assault Chicago audiences with its unique brand of agitainment—more powerful than ever, and more necessary.
