A Place To Bury Strangers
plus Bleeding Rainbow / Glass Cities
Thursday, Nov 15, 2012 9:00 PM EST
(8:00 PM Doors)
Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland, OH
Kevin Saves & Matt Rolin
DJ before show & between sets
While Red Fang’s riffs clobber the Tavern, we’ll have noiseniks A Place To Bury Strangers blasting the Ballroom with jams to please both “the kids” and oldsters who remember days of bygone CLE clubs like The Nine of Clubs and Alter House. To say that APBS is influenced by bands like Jesus and Mary Chain, Sisters of Mercy, and Bauhaus is an understatement; however, they do so without the bondage gear and eyeliner (we think). Admittedly, these guys do the sexy wall-of-sound thing pretty well. If you’re not feeling the dudetastic Red Fang show tonight, come see these guys for a dose of high-voltage erotica. Philly shoegazers Bleeding Rainbow (formerly Reading Rainbow) and Cleveland’s very own Glass Cities. They sound like Pavement, if Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys, not the SF Giants) sang for them. Glass Cities’ Matt Rolin and Music Saves’ Kevin will play their fave tunes before and after this show.
