Gui Boratto, the thirty-something producer, musician and composer from São Paulo, Brazil, graces the decks on Tuesday, 28th for Basic NYC. Boratto has been described as ?a sleight-of-speed master?, in the way he calls on big, trancey sounds and sets up enough space between them to let elision create arrangements on their own terms. His debut artist album, ?Chromophobia?, a testimony to his testosterone fuelled techno sound that could best be described as a seat-of-your-pants ride down a German autobahn in a convertible during a lightening strike. His DJ sets are equally full of raw emotion, energy, pumped up beats and hooks that grab you onto the dancefloor all night long.
