The New York Times has called Al' s comedy dynamic. The HBO/U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen named him Best Stand-Up Comedian. His unique, spontaneous, and fast-paced lyrical story-telling style has made him a regular on television with numerous appearances on Comedy Central including his own half-hour Comedy Central Presents Special as well as a guest spot on the short lived The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and multiple appearances on Lopez Tonight, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Chelsea Lately, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Al also has his share of acting credits, he has appeared on CBSs Welcome to the Captain and Gary Unmarried, and on Pretend Time with Nick Swardson. Most recently, the ABC television network has committed to a project created by and starring Al that would air in the fall of 2011. It revolves around a family taco truck business and is being produced by legendary TV producer Warren Littlefield with writers from King of the Hill.
