San Francisco all-female trio GRASS WIDOW make their Empty Bottle debut tonight in support of their 2012 release Internal Logic, self-published on their own HLR Records. Blending post-punk aggression with hypnotic, heavily-layered melodies, the band’s haunting songs recall personal narratives of each member, with vocal duties being shared equally. Eschewing the concept of a “front-person” to avoid singular celebrity or spectacle, the music does the talking, and their fresh approach has received praise from various press outlets near and far.
