You don't want to laugh at a pretty girl, you want to sleep with her. That's just one of the problems Melissa Brooks (Christine Evangelista) faces in Goodbye Baby, the story of a bright and beautiful young woman who moves to New York and discovers the not always funny world of stand-up comedy. Recently graduated from high school, Melissa doesn?t have the means to go to college. So she decides to spend the summer in the city with her brother Robbie and his boyfriend. Finding work at a local comedy club, she hones her own stand-up act watching the club?s regulars and eventually takes the stage herself. But this is only the ?first stage? in her journey to self-discovery and happiness. Goodbye Baby shows the joys, sorrows, laughter and growth of early adulthood when we are finding out who we are. Breakthrough performances by its young cast are coupled with hilarious stand-up routines by Fred Armisan (SNL), Donnell Rawlings (Chappelle's Show), Kevin Corrigan (The Departed, TV?s Grounded for Life) and Sal the Stockbroker (Howard Stern).
