It?s not easy being a single man in Los Angeles. Especially when you?re a bit too sensitive, too controlling and too calculating, and maintain an obsessive compulsion with your appearance. There is a label for this ?gay? straight man ?Eric Beumer is ?The Metrosexual.? His goal of finding love is constantly thwarted by ill-conceived moves. A controversial neck kiss, an overly planned house party and a fiasco with two prostitutes seem to lead Eric further away from his objective. He gets no help from his best friend, Leo, who has an uncanny knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, nor his gay friend, Kurt, who steals all the female attention without even trying. It?s only when Eric is ?least on his game? that he stumbles upon a genuine possibility. A comedic romp, The Metrosexual shows us that accepting who you are and being yourself is the most effective way to find happiness.
