Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival, New York City's "rite of spring", will be held May 3-4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Celebrate spring at this weekend-long family festival of Japanese culture and arts with over 50 performances. While at the Garden, view Cherry Blossom Visions: Works by Charles Gustina and David Wander. These wall-sized cherry blossom murals composed of mosaics of color photographs and expressive oil paintings and pastels will be on display in the Steinhardt Gallery April 5-May 11. Savor Japanese entrees at the Terrace Café, take free weekend tours, and browse the special Hanami Shop.
