The 2nd Annual Petaluma Wine, Jazz & Blues Festival (PWJB) featuring: Charlie Musselwhite (4:00 PM), Booker T. (2:30 PM), Joe Louis Walker (1:00 PM), the Peter Welker Sextet featuring Jeff Oster, and the Casa Grande High School Alumni Big Band. Festival location is Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma. More than 80 wineries will be pouring over 200 award-winning wines from the Sonoma-Marin Fairs North of the Gate Wine Competition for festival attendees (1:00 to 5:00 PM). General Admission (music only) is $30, General Admission & Wine (including 4 wine tastes and souvenir wine glass) is $40, VIP Premium (including canopied side-stage reserved seating, 8 wine tastes, souvenir wine glass, and complimentary beer tasting) is $75 (PRE-SALE ONLY, ENDING THURSDAY 8/27/09). Children 11 and under are free with a paying adult. You must be 21 or older to purchase wine tickets. TICKET PRICES WILL INCREASE $5 ON DAY OF THE EVENT. All proceeds will benefit the music education programs of all Petaluma area schools. Gates open at 12:30 PM, first band is at 1:00 PM, wine-tasting is 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, festival concludes at 5:30 PM but continues with dancing at the Post-Festival Party in Herzog Hall until 8:00 PM.
