On December 13, the Grammy award-winning band, They Might Be Giants, will perform two benefit shows at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI). The show will feature songs from their most recent DVD, Here Comes Science, which contains songs that were fact-checked by NYSCI Director and Chief Content Officer Eric Siegel. Tickets include general admission to NYSCI. The mission of NYSCI is to convey the excitement and understanding of science and technology to children, families, teachers and others by galvanizing their curiosity and offering them creative, participatory ways to learn. The Hall features the largest collection of hands-on science exhibits in New York City. Visitors of all ages can explore over 450 interactive exhibits. Since 1986, the Hall has served more than five million children, parents, and teachers.

Billboard calls them ?the ultimate fan- and now family-friendly rock act.? TMBG?s most recent disc, Here Come the 123s, won them the 2009 Grammy Award for Best Children's Album. The show will feature the band performing all the hits from their previous kids albums as well as music from the brand new Here Comes Science, set for release on September 1.
Formed as a duo in 1982, They Might Be Giants has had a singular career. Their Dial-A-Song service predated much of today's DIY internet activity. The band enjoyed an amazing run of breakthrough videos on MTV in the late 80s and early 90s. Their album "Flood" went platinum. The band expanded to a more tradiional line-up, and developed a reputation as a "must see" live show. In the late 90s the band began expanding their horizons into television, movies, and the internet, notably contributing the opening theme to "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and the Grammy winning song "Boss of Me" for "Malcom in the Middle."
